My bro is always so worried about what our mom thinks about everything. It is no so bad that he is even filtering his dating pool because of her. Everyone knows that he prefers Asian chicks but no way would he even let this known t mama. He only introduces her to the types SHE prefers: Italians. Well, now he is in love with an Asian chick and wants to take it to the next step but he is considering dumping her because he knows mama wont approve. I say BS. I have his back so he needs to make the introduction and move on. I promised to call her out if she makes even the snidest of remarks. He wont do it though. Says he needs to find the right girl that works for everyone. I keep telling him that he is foolish but mama has him brainwashed.

Its easier said then done people. I love my family and we are all very close. An important requirement of my future wife, whomever she may be, is that she can embrace my family the same way that I do. In order for this to happen, my mother has to like her and that is not always easy. My mother grew up in Sicily so she cannot imagine me marrying anyone but an Italian girl. Preferably a Sicilian but she will settle for Italian in general. The problem is, I really like Asian women. This simply won't fly. I am really into the girl I am dating but my mother will ostercize her making it impossible for me to still be close to my family. It may be easier to cut her loose and try to find someone else that meets the requirements. She will never, ever understand and wont listen to reason so its either fall in love with what I want and goodbye mother or try to find love with someone more to her liking.
