Plaintiff Arguments [Jul 1, 2009]

First off I am not a controlling girlfriend whatsoever. I let campo do pretty much anything he wants from card nights to golf weekends. During the week I like to take it easy at night and relax, I have to wake up early in the am and I like to be all together there at work the next day. Campo comes home at least three times a week around 7.30/8pm drunk, stinking of booze and often times sloppy. He wants to continue to party or just makes a jackass of himself as he attempts to eat dinner and watch TV. He's almost 30, time to grow up. I am not asking for much here just cut it back to two times a week please. I don't even want to get into the fact that you are driving home.

It should come as no surprise that I just got back from happy hour tonight! That picture is ridiculous, that was taken on a weekend, and to be honest I'm a little pissed that you posted that on here. Let the record show I am coherent and am sober enough to type this rebuttal. I work in a job where alot of coworkers hit up happy hour, its a big reason why I get promoted so quickly. You don't get in with the big guys by sitting on your ass making popcorn and watching a movie. I'm doing this for us. I very rarely come home trashed and sloppy, you are exaggerating way too much. I do go out after work at least 3 times a week though, and I come home and never stay out. You acat like I am playing beer pong and hitting up strip joints. I'm fine and trying to further my career.

If he said he liked to unwind after a hard day by going home and spanking his monkey for two hours, you'd probably think "C'est la vie! Fesser que le singe, mon ami!" (because you're continental like that). But what if he did it five times a week? Wouldn't you think perhaps he should find other ways to unwind and, if he refused, that the habit wasn't just about relaxing after a hard day? Hmmmm?

I can't say he should be limited to twice a week if it's really making a difference in his career BUT there's no reason for him to drink to excess just because he's out at happy hour. He could just as easily go out and NOT drink. I say let him go but he should rein it in in terms of alcohol consumption (if he really is overdoing it.)
